This will probably be a very quick and short topic. I tried looking for a similar topic but didn't find anything.

I have the Canon 200EG, as I am sure many others on here do. Anyone find a nice buckle strap that fits on this bag? I don't like the idea of loosening and tightening the straps every time I go to use my tripod, it would be nice if there was some way to get a buckle strap onto this bag. (When I say buckle, I mean any sort of fastener that clips together. So I would be able to place the tripod beneath or on the side of the bag and clip the strap around it, instead of having to thread the tripod through the strap and then tighten it.

It's not a huge deal, I just thought it would be a bit more convenient.

Thanks!

I guess I'll be less specific.

Does anyone know where to purchase reliable buckle straps. (ones that would fit the 200EG. Should be a little less than an inch wide to fit in the 200EG strap-points)

Hmm, I guess any sporting goods store may have them now that I think of it. I guess I will head to one and give it a shot. Thanks!

Try REI - see if this fits your needs.

Those look like what I need, I just don't know if I would be able to actually get them to work on my pack. I would need to thread them through the slits on the bag, and I wouldnt be able to fit the buckle through. It looks like those REI straps are sewn around the buckle. I would need something where the strap is threaded through the buckle. In other words, I would need to thread the strap through the bag, and then through the buckle on the other end.

The male piece (the slider) can be removed, the female part is fixed.

Remove the slider, feed strap through the slot in the bag, reattached the male piece - DONE! (I just did this on a similar bag.)

The REI straps are 3/4" or 1" wide. It looks like yours are 1".

Hello Rick -

Ah, fine minds ...

(And the REI price is pretty good, too!)
