One thing I've learned in fashion photography is when the model puts too much emphasis on themselves by showing TOO much emotion it takes away from the clothing being advertised/photographed which is the main focus in fashion portraits. I was focused on the dress and not so much the shoes but if someone where to look down at the shoes, they're still visible enough to see but the main sale was directed towards the actual dress itself.
