I know, thanks for that. Gutted... I bought a 3 bed house last year - now living alone, just seems empty and quiet.

Haha, no I work all over the UK - drive 30/40k miles a year. So it wasn't fair on the dog to be left alone all day. When we were living together we would have a dog walker come and collect him and take him out during the day. But I'm out at 5.30am most days and don't get back till 3/4pm so not feasible really. Missus didn't leave till 11am and only worked 3 days.

Oh. Well I'm sure that he'll be happy to have his pack back together again.

Crop too tight. :(

This one is underexposed.

Can't do much with the crop - can't get back any further as I'm shooting with about 3 foot distance between me and my dog. As for being underexposed it looks fine on my monitor.

I have to agree. Too tight & too dark.
The crop can easily be fixed by expanding the Canvas. As for "it looks fine on my monitor.", how does a standard print file at the very bottom of http://www.gballard.net/psd/srgbforwww.html (external link) look to you?

Good try, but you're going to need more than f/2.5 for a dog with a muzzle that is that close.
