Had a walk through City of London yesterday, picked up a few shots, mostly architectural/abstract. Taken with the Sigmalux at various apertures.

Would like pointers on what I might be able to do differently next time, or what I've done right this time!

The photographs are nice, but how are we to know this is London….Meaning a little more "landmark" would have been better…this could be any city, without you telling us it was London…very few could guess it was. So I think the story telling needs to improve….The shots are awesome.

1. I like what you're doing with the left building, but the right building is distracting/confusing as a black triangle. Would have to remove it or move slightly so that you can see more of the face of the building and get something recognizable.

2. Not bad, doesn't wow me... interesting forms and lines. Doesn't set a mood or say much beyond that.

3. With the tower centered in the frame, it reads as a snapshot more than a careful composition to tell a story. The lighting and sky have some potential.

4. My favorite, as it has something to draw me in and make me curious about... like what is that material or texture? Good lines, good composition.

5. A little odd because of the strange form, almost but not quite centered. Not sure it does much for me, personally.

Good series overall. The area is brimming with motives, I spent a long afternoon 'til late in the evening there last year, taking pictures. - Your Number 4 is my favourite too.

#1, those balconies in your picture have something boat-like.

#2 doesn't do anything for me *shrug*

#3 would look better with some perspective correction.

#5, nice detail, unusual perspective, I like

Interesting, as abstract I like them. Not sure about the tilt in the first one though.
