rebel XT accept 4GB CF or larger capacity?

Can the rebel XT accept 4GB CF card or larger capacity card? I checked the canon website but there is no spec regarding this feature.


Canon 1DM4,7D, Rebel XT
580 EX II, 430 EX II
Canon 70-200mm IS II L , Canon 85mm F1.2 L II, Canon macro 100mm F/2.8, 18-55mm kit
Sigma 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6, Sigma 10-22mm, Sigma 50mm F/1.4
Sigma 24-70mm F/2.8 EX DG HSM

It can at least accept a 4GB...not sure about higher since my biggest card is 4GB.

In theory the limit is the maximum size you can address with the FAT32 File System, which is 127GB, so there should be no problems with a 4GB card.

In fact Seagate have the Rebel XT listed in the compatibility list for their 4GB and 8GB microdrives (I know I just got one :D ).

Thanks everyone. I have been debating getting a larger card. Currently I have a 1GB card. So from this I should feel safe with anything on the market today. Even 8GB.
