I'm looking at doing some on location ( outdoors ) shoots. I don't have much experience with this. I am looking for your expertise in recommending a setup ( modifiers, stands etc... ) to accommodate a 2 flash system. It needs to be portable and easy to setup, take down and transport.

Thanks in advance for your input.

What are you shooting?
What kind of lights?
What is purpose for the images?
Will you have assistance?
What kind of transport?
What kind of outdoor location?

These answers will help make the suggestions useful rather than just someone's "this is what I do" answering.

I'm shooting a musician, both head shots and full body within the environment.
I have two flashes for my lights.
Purpose of the images will be for the musicians website.
No assistance...just me.
Transport via car.
The locations will vary from grunge locations under bridges to abandoned buildings.

Depending on the locations, i would use one flash as a rimlight, amd the other as the main light. For the modifiers, a softbox would suffice for the main light. Preferably a 60x90cm as you will be doing some full body shots as well. Bare flash would be use as the rim light.

But lately, i've been using a 22inch beauty dish as my single light source everytime im doing outdoor photoshoot.

Regards
Adi
