Thought I'd share the first music video I've shot and get some feedback since it is the first one and I'm looking to learn as much as I can from the experience.

It was the singers last night in town so me and a friend of mine who manages him decided to have a bit of fun and shoot a video late that night. Shot on a 60D in extremely low light situations where I was pushing the ISO pretty high (1600-3200 for most shots and a few 6400).

I used my Alpex 35mm f/2.8 for a large portion of the shots along with the 70-200mm 2.8 and 50mm 1.8 for a few of the others.

Noise wasn't that bad at all, song is another matter but not the point. Really liked what you did with this vid

What I watched looked good. very little noise. some decent use of various techniques.

My only insight would be the music is slow passed and the video doesnt help to make it feel like its moving along at a balanced pace. What I mean is the video feels slow and drawn out. the music is uncontrollable but the video could pick up the pace.

What i saw was well done. I think it needs a lot more then the few set ups Seen here. You did a great job of capturing the subject in very little light, but I dont think that in itself is enough to carry a whole video. What is here looks great, it just needs lots more of it.

First step........ Take the lens cap off.

Great scenery! I felt as though it was kinda off (video to audio) that might just be me though. It was pretty dark but I understand it was at night with unique extra light settings. One tip/thought for movie making is Final Cut Pro X has a pretty good editing feature where it will link two clips and combine into one, great for music videos!

Thanks for the feedback! definitely agreed! Wish we had had more time but only had around 2 Hrs that night to get what we got before the singer had to fly out the next morning. Hopefully we'll have more time to actually plan something out that will be a bit better to carry the video through the next time he's out here.

Could you elaborate more on the feature you're mentioning?

Very nice. Love the light setup. Has a nice raw feel to it. A couple close ups could have broken up the tension in the beginning. Really enjoyed it. The singer reminded me of a never shout never British version

I think you did a good job light wise.... Just needed to mic it up shot wise...

But I didn't watch it all, but that was due to the song, not the vid...
