This is our neighborhood House Sparrow Population Control Officer, he's been visiting the yard pretty regularly lately, and this time stayed for a few pictures.

1 Who me? What sparrow? Hard to look innocent amongst all those feathers...

Tough looking Sherriff there, I guess they don't have a long trial there.
Great shots, I like number one best!

Thanks Bret, glad you like them! Quick "justice" for sure, he's a real go-getter too, as I've seen him on more than one occasion jump into the hedge and after a bit of a ruckus, leave with his prize in hand. Usually we just find piles of feathers in the yard, then we know he was there.

Thank you very much for your kind comments! They do have striking eyes, and an intense stare too. Glad you like the shots!

Thanks Andrew! Maybe he's got a brother I can send your way:p . Our neighbor seems to collect house sparrows, so I'm always happy to see Cooper show up, never seen him take anything but the little brown pests.

I hope you guys have been well, we hope to see you and your wife at RA or an airshow sometime again this year!

I have my share of House Sparrows thats for sure.I get a cooper that makes an appearance every so often but never have seen it get anything . I think we will be doing RA this year. airshows are not looking very good so far and dunno if they will get better with all the cutbacks and all.

Good, hope to see you at RA, we almost took the plunge and bought the season passes, but couldn't quite justify the price...we still hope to make 3 or 4 of the events though. Yeah, it sucks about the cutbacks at airshows, Manitowoc's is on for sure but no word on who's performing or if there will be any military jets there at all, and we'll be at Oshkosh too, but that's probably it. We were planning on going to Janesville to see the Snowbirds again, but Janesville's been cancelled.
