Currently have 5D II. I dont use the AF on it, I have to always manually focus. Its just how it is. I will use it mainly for portraits, static shots, and video.

I am looking at buying a second body that I will use AF with. I am crossed between the 5D III and a used 1Ds III. Im extremely familiar with the 1 Series, owning a 1VHS, 1D II, 1D IIn, and a 1D III over the years. Ive only really played with a 5D III at store displays, so I am completely unfamiliar with its performance in the real world.

So, what would you do in my situation? Go for the 5D III or 1Ds III?

Thanks.

5D3. You'll figure out the controls, I'm sure.
