You might consider choosing a foreground interest and making it larger in the frame to make your shot more interesting. The middle 1/3 (from top to bottom) offers nothing to the shot.

Yes, it is the Panamint Range that borders the west side of the Valley taken from the foot of the Amargosa range that borders the other side..

To the left of the frame would be Badwater Basin at -282 ft below sea level..

Here is a shot from there looking back at where the Panamint's are on the left and the Amargosa's are on the right..
