Normally I spend my time trying to slow the exposure down, yesterday it was hard to get it above 4 seconds in the brightest spots at ISO 100 (and my hands were cold and the Circ Pol wouldn't come off!)...but yea, the sky was a bit boring! Still, beats sitting watching TV right!? http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com

Could just buy and umbrella, it is what I used yesterday....although it was mainly drizzly mist, not rain. http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com

Still, beats sitting watching TV right!? Those are quite good pictures! I like #3 the best. Great colors. Overcast days are actually great times to grab some waterfall shots. The light is usually very even with no harsh shadows and colors can be vibrant. The circ polarizer will help cut some light and increase your exposure time, you can also use a ND filter. When shooting on overcast days like that, just frame your subject to exclude the sky. Put your hand over the top 1/3 of picture 2&3 and you'll see what I mean. Gary C

Couldn't live without my Circ Pol....and I do carry an ND filter on bright days, which we have very few of! http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com

One more, not too happy with the framing (a bitmore to the left perhaps?). http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com

Even in bright conditions i can get exposures of 20+ seconds. Now i just need a polariser too and ill be set. Dr Adrian Bass (www.adrian-bass.fotopic.net

Thats what has put me off buying a new ultra wide lens, having to fork out for a 77mm Poloriser....not cheap! But as you can see from the above shot 12mm would make a nicer shot than 18mm....lol.... http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com
