Great shots!! And that thread title is killer!!!

The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked - Photographers shoot to thrill, not to kill

Absolutely ... Love me some vapes and the sound is a bonus :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words ... Lets hope that we have a 2013 version as I talked to Stewie (demo pilot legacy) just last evening and he said the cuts are rampant.

Im hopeful but expected ...

I live in a place where aircraft are regularly tested and perform incredible high-speed acrobatics. I am unable to track them and photograph them (both still and motion) using a tripod and camera mount. Many times standing near the tripod while aiming the camera at these killer birds, I have tripped and fallen.

I would like an automated tripod, remote controlled, capable of being rotated on two axes at high speed to track and photograph these birds.

I am looking for something like what the Jackel used in the movie "The Jackal" (Bruce Willis). How do I get this done? Are there other solutions to this problem?

Somewhere along the line, you might get military visitors that aren't too comfortable with automatic tracking gear close to their training locations.
