something to pass the winter away with.hope these are o.k. here,as they were taken with a macro lens.equipment is minimal.tripod,and shutter release.only using one speedlite for these,and a black towel for the B.G.incense as the smoke source.trying to get the smoke coming off to one side of the sensor is tricky.in my case,had to open a window to create a draft.
this is the cropped working copy

then you create a duplicate layer,then increase canvas size,edit,transform,an​d flip it the way you need it,and use the move tool to place it where you want it,like so.

then make your adjustments,levels,cur​ves,contrast,colour filters etc.....

I have a few smoke shots here and there, but I don't put them in the macro section, I put them in still life, even the ones I've shot with a macro lens. Regardless, here's my smoke set on Flickr (external link), and my smoke walk-through is in my sig...
