I am planning to mount my own mat boards. Not sure where to get them? Specifically looking for uncut boards. Any recommendations? What do you recommend to glue the board?

Thanks.

I've generally gotten matboard from Blick's (external link) -- along with foamboard. I've found competitive pricing elsewhere, but often the shipping charges from Blick's make them a good choice. (There are occassional sales and free shipping deals.)

For mounting, I really like 3M's PMA adhesive. A 50-ft roll is a bit pricey (Amazon has the best $ I've found) but the 16" x 50' roll can mount a lot of photos.

Cheers,

Gary

I get 18x24 uncut 6 ply mat boards from american frame. There might be cheaper out there but I haven't found it.

I second the FrameDestination link. Great prices and great service on frames and acrylic. They're my go-to supplier for those items. (I make my own hardwood frames, but I buy the simple black ones when needed.)

Since I cut my own mats, so I haven't looked into those options.

Cheers,

Gary
