Well, since my other lenses are gone I need to replace them. Unfortunately I don't have $$$ to replace them with the same ones. I can probably only afford 1 lens for the next year or so.

What was stolen: 24-105L, Sigma 50 1.4, Canon 18-55 IS.
What I still have: Canon 50 1.8, Canon 70-300 IS.

What I mainly shoot is my children like so:

I need recommendations for a single lens that can do the job of focusing on fast kids and has decent IQ across the image for occasional landscape shots. I shoot on a 7D with a crop sensor. I would limit the cost to under $600.

7D, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM, 580EX, 50 1.4 USM, 2̶4̶-̶1̶0̶5̶ ̶f̶/̶4̶, S̶i̶g̶m̶a̶ ̶5̶0̶ ̶f̶/̶1̶.̶4̶,̶ 4̶3̶0̶E̶X̶

18-135mm STM

or 15-85mm...but that would be only if you found yourself craving wider than 18mm

I'd get insurance first for the gear you still have, it's so embarrassing cheap to get it.
