Been pondering all weekend on what to get... I think I'll be going for the 5D along with a 24-70mm F2.8L lens - I already have a 70-200mm F4L lens which I've been using with the 20D... I think I'll hang onto the 20d for now as well...seeing as I've not had much response here in the UK trying to sell it...

Best price I've had for the 5D+24-70MM has been £2750.00 with a free filter flung in...anyone else here in the Uk got a better deal?

The 5D & 24-70 is an awesome combination. Keeping your crop-frame camera is a good idea for those long-range telephoto shots too.

I love my 5D, and I kept my 10D when I bought it. It's liek doubling the number of lenses you own, since each lens is completely different on these two cameras.

Same here. I kept the 5D and the 20D. Every lens gets double the use.

Congrats on your decision. Haven't been unhappy yet with my 20D, it's less than a week old. But when I get there, I'll know. Great combination of lense and camera. You'll be walking around with your head held high on this one. :)
