Just want to make sure I have my workflow correct.

1) I have my monitor (U2410) calibrated.

2) Once I have a picture I want to send off to print it needs to be in the sRGB color space (I am by default)

3) Soft proof by downloading the various paper ICC profiles from Adorama and use them for soft proofing, correcting any gamut issues along the way.

4) Export as 100% quality jpg at 300dpi.

5) rinse and repeat.

6) Upload to Adorama selecting options/sizing, etc.

This sound about right?

It sounds right!

If this is the first time doing this with a particular vendor, I'd strongly advise you to run at least one "test print" through them...

Do Adorama require sRGB or the pinter/paper icc profile? The lab that I use wants there profile used if I manage the colours or sRGB if they do colour management. So as I do the colour management I soft proof using the profile and then export from the print modual using the paper profile they supply. If I were going to supply an image from LR in sRGB then I would soft proof using the sRGB profile using the sRGB profile for the gamut warnings not the paper profile.

Not sure from their help docs, but I have a email into them. All they seem to say is that they want it in the sRGB color space and they make their paper profiles available.

From what I've seen, that's not a "normal" approach -- with most labs from what I've seen you can soft-proof using the paper profile then Export/Save using sRGB, although some labs also take aRGB files.

I'd be curious to hear from others as to whether their lab specifies that they want the images converted using their paper profiles.

This is why when you are first working with a lab you should carefully go over their "specs" and you should do one or more test prints!
