editing program file location

Has anyone see this type of location to where a editing program will save a image. I'm trying to find a image a program saved on my system a couple of months ago but i can not locate it and spotlight does not help either

Whenever working with a "new" program, I'd pay attention to what it does with "new" files. The default locations for saving, for example, image files, may not be where you want your files to go, as you've seen. You can typically change the location "default", either in Preferences, or in "run-time", but you have to keep your eyes open to "catch" these things, as you see.

At least the window you are showing points to the location, images being stored in the "rtuomala" parent directory, and then in an obscure sub-directory. You can decide on your own directory structure, move your images, and then set your software to behave accordingly.

Looks like you opened an image in ColorStrokes that is in/from Aperture's preview Library, then hit "Save"?
(I don't know ColorStrokes, don't use Aperture)

Not what you want to do, I'd guess.

Probably a better approach to export the image from Aperture, then open in ColorStrokes.

To find the file, I'd guess Spotlight should do the trick, if you set it to "include system files" (in the search Finder window, hit the "+" in the top right, choose "System files" in the drop down that appears on the left, choose "are included").

Edit a new image and name it something unique so you can easily search the hard drive. That will at least let you find the storage folder on the drive.
