Right i know this is a silly question but if setting up in aperture priority in low light is there a feature like on the 20D to set the sync speed of the camera to 1/200 rather than it being in sync with the cameras exposure.

Cheers i thought that would be the answer.Will just have to experiment on the rare occasions i use flash. The equipment you'll leave at home will be the equipment you'll need the most!

Yes. CF 3-1 will default the shutter speed to 1/250 sec. when the flash is used in Av mode. If the flash isn't up to power, or you turn it off, shutter speed will revert to that needed for ambient light. Jon
