Kristine,
that's a great shot. I really like the tight composition. It looks a little overexposed, but it's probably the display on my 6 year old laptop!

Thanks. It was actually a bit underexposed and I processed it a bit bright. I just wanted to see what people thought of what I did with it. Here is the original:

I really like the tighter crop you did, and agree that the original is underexposed - just think it's a teeny bit over lightened - otherwise, maybe warming it up a little and / or boosting colour saturation a little would help his skin tones.

Thanks. I intentionally desaturated his skin just to see what the effect would be like. I kept his eyes and lips their natural color. Oh well, guess it doesn't really work! Thanks for checking back :)

No worries, though my opinion is entirely subjective. What may work, is if you darken his face slightly, and desaturate his face, leaving his eyes, and lips their natural colour.
