As you see in the sig, I've been using the 70-300L for sports, potrait and other tele needs.
Recently I was on a trip and saw my friend on a 7D and a 135L (one of the best sports combo I suppose?) and so I tried to convince him to exchange with my 70-300L just for the trip.
...and I found I had a bit trouble using it.
I had a bit of trouble to just simply aiming a subject. It feels like 5 steps backward do almost nothing to the view from the lens. Also, as a similar personal trouble on using teles, I just can't see what happens next to the subject. For instance:
Assume I'm panning a soccer player running and trying to take a shoot. Close to when I'm taking the shot, I found there is a sudden opposing player taking the ball (like I didn't notice that at all) and this just bugs me.
Another example:
Now I'm trying to take a pic of a flying bee. Not so much abrupt in movement, but still random. Aiming right at it is also a trouble because I might lost track to the bee.
Mostly these are the problems. Potrait is no trouble with a tele zoom, but the 135L tele prime makes me move back more.
Any tips/solutions?
