I was really happy the wheel was lit up this time. I swung by a couple of weeks ago to just shoot the wheel and they just had some blue lights around the outside of the wheel turned on; bummer.

Thats correct, you can see the foothills starting at the horizon near the right of the frame..

I thought about including Rainier, but did not because.

1. It's really the only thing of interest to the right of the frame and would have thrown the balance of the composition off.

2. As I was using a wide angle lens it would have appeared small and insignifigant.

3. From the angle I shot at the mountains would have been partially obstructed by a series of cranes at the port which they use to unload ships.

Thanks Brandon. I have been experimenting with shooting at dusk for a few weeks and this was the first clear sky I have had. Looking forward to more dusk shoots on clear days.
