I am currently using Lightroom 4 and have a dual monitor setup. I use my 2nd monitor to view the image I select on the first screen and then view at 100%.

Now, is there anyway that I can edit or use the develop module on my 2nd monitor while keeping the standard grid on the 1st monitor? I tried Googling this but couldn't find a clear answer.

This is the only way I can think of. If you put your mouse pointer over the second monitor icon in the main display then press and hold ALT and click it it will shrink from a fullscreen view to something smaller, then you have to shrink the main display view and drag it to the second monitor and drag the smaller view that was on the second monitor to the first one, then enlarge the smaller preview that is now on the main monitor by again putting the mouse poiner on the second monitor icon and again holding ALT and clicking, this will restore the fullscren view that was on the second to the first and then restore the other view that is now on the second monitor to fullscreen. Pheww! Hope that makes sense. :)

You can simply drag the LR main window to the 2nd screen.
