thats COOL!

how do you grow crystals? what makes them purple?

is it the FLASH that makes the background flicker? its not a big deal because its pretty subtle but i did sort of notice it (and i felt i needed something 'photography' related to keep from getting thrown out)...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

Thanks Dave Basically its just a magic tree crystal growing kit available on amazon

Although i bought mine locally for £2:50 it probably is the flash making the flicker as it was only the onboard flash of the eos550d used
and the softbox was just a cardboard box lined in white shower curtain i also used the 18-55mm kit lens ,extention tubes and a tripod the lens was set at f5.6 71 shots at 60secs interval hope this helps.;)
