Radiance

IMAGE: http://twilightscapes.com/forums/radiance.jpg

This is a single shot, from 17 TS-E with about a 4 degree shift up. Some light painting for foreground light. Inside the Blacksmith's shop I put a propane lantern on full blast.

It took 6 or 7 attempts at positioning and trying to tweak back the light source in order to allow me to capture the stars along with the light.

One of my favorite shots of recent, as it's a bit different. What do you guys think?

I like it, would have thought the escaping light would water down the night sky but it looks great.

Really love the lines in this. The light escaping the shop gives such an amazing feel to this image.

Good use of leading lines!

They are the most powerful tool we have in our composition arsenals.

Speaking of Excaliber, the tv series Merlin (on hulu) is some of the best storytelling I have ever watched. Also some incredible cinematography. It's a must watch show for anyone into that sort if thing.
