Just got myself a 5Dc, I have £500/$750 to drop on some glass, what are my options?

Was thinking the following:
24-105L
17-40L + 50 1.8
Samyang 14mm + Tamron 28-70

Before I decide though, am I missing anything better?

All 3 are great options. I like the 2nd the most though.

What do you currently have?

17-40 + 85 1.8?
35 f2 + 50 1.4 + 85 1.8?
70-200 f4L non is?

There are plenty of options but we need to know what you have, and what you want to shoot along with why you need a new lens.

Yea, I do like all three... that's my bug issue Haha. I was quite set on the 24-105 as its L glass and would love the red ring but is that really the end all be all or what ever?

Old setup was: Sigma 10-20, Sigma 30 1.4, Tamron 17-50 (only had the 30 for a short while so didn't get to use much)

Your old setup sounds better. Not sure you have enough to replicate that kind of coverage and quality on full frame.

I'd probably just go with a 35mm f2 and an 85mm f1.8 and maybe a cheap older zoom to throw in the bag, like a 24-85 USM or a 28-135 IS.

Yes I did have more coverage but I was finding my old setup (camera) an issue for low light noise. I don't need to recreate my range, I just want an all round decent setup really.

Any other ideas for the budget I've missed?

35/85 is my favorite combo on FF. the 35 f2 is actually a pretty impressive piece of glass. sharper in the center than 35L @ f2 and equal sharpness compared to the 35L from f2.8 and up. the 85 1.8 is pretty nice glass too, and they're both very affordable and MUCH faster than a 24-105

Hmm will have to look at these prime, had a shot of the 85 a while back and was impressed wide open. Would 35 be wide enough for my landscapes... I'm just not sure.
