I'm editing photos for a book. I'm using this Dell 3008WFP 30" moniter that's about 3.5 years old. The brightness is falling, but I can increase the RBG gain from the 50's to the 70 percent mark and it now easily gets to 90-120 power, which is fine for my purposes.

Yesterday, however, I ran this Spyder 4 Elite profile on the monitor, and have the results below. I'm not an electronics expert, and would like the opinion of those who are better at this stuff. Do I need a new monitor or can I get by with this one?

The new 30" Dells are $1100. I actually got one from B&H and sent it back because one side of the screen was slightly brighter than the other, just by a visual check. What other recommendations do you have?

That's the uniformity over the screen area?

I'd say a deltaE of almost 4 might be visible, but I'd be more concerned by an almost 20% difference in brightness…

How does it look? ;)

You know, it looks fine despite those numbers, which is why I can't tell if I should replace it. I've read that DeltaE of 3 or more is visible.
