That would imply, to me anyway, that the IQ with the 1.4x takes a pretty strong hit, given most primes exhibit little to no decrease in IQ with the 1.4 yet it becomes noticeable with the 2x. Facebook

I think he said it when he was talking about the 1.4x bulge on the side. What I heard was this lens with a 2x is just as good as any Canon prime with a 2x. T1i with 18-55, 55-250, 50 1.8

He also said that this lens with the internal 1.4x on is second to none .. i.e. better than a prime + 1.4x. Ha! I knew I couldn't have heard him right and listened to it again and heard the same thing. I guess I was missing a sentence before or after. Facebook

Plus with another 1.4 converter (so you don't screw up IQ too much) it'll roughly be 350-800 in such a small package! Camera: EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 70D, ™24-70mm f2.8 VC, EF 70-200mm IS f2.8 L II, EF 100mm IS f2.8 L Macro, EF-S 18-135 STM, Σ 12-24 II.
