Looks like she got stood up at the alter.:( Great shot Marie love the expression she has. Was this a wedding? She looks so out of place almost lost, what with her all dressed up in a wedding gown and everyone one else dressed in casual clothes. Wonderful shot, evokes so many questions.

I have to agree with that, also must remark on the good treatment of the whites.
Lacking some contrast (IMO)

sorry for not saying , thanks Sandy

she was just sitting like that on the street.
I think one of those street artists who stay very still.
probably an actress
I thought she was beautiful and looked great there among the crowds
I did a few versions and was not sure which to post

Now that's some fancy garb, marie. Do you suppose she fell out of bed like that?
Love the pose.
Is that a purse on her lap...or a bucket?
It looks like she is sitting on the side of the road.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Wonderful shot, evokes so many questions.

Seems that it asks more questions than it answers? Someone once showed me a "Book of Questions" she'd bought. I guess it was designed to provoke thoughtful conversation. I replied that I didn't need any more tough questions & would prefer a book of answers. It didn't go down well at all! ;)
Nice shot, Marie!

I imagine she is an out of work actress
and people looking like this are always needed, especially if she can hold that pose for many hours , which I presume she did,
and was doing, for a reason

just to say , around that area are many fine artists
Covent Garden is a paradise for artist's ( the word 'garden' is misleading.
it's not a garden , although there is a small green area there)

great outdoor entertainment all around for the onlookers when passing

if they have time to stop and stare all the better

and great restaurants and cafés and stores and markets
whatever one wishes
wonderful area , full of life and music and talent , crafts and atmosphere

and no one , but no one ,feels out of place
even the very interesting so called 'tramps', homeless people who have come down in the world for many different reasons.
business men who fell from grace
or wealthy (and otherwise) people shopping and just stopping to look

they all are there, very happily enjoying so much free entertainment
and sharing the fun in the lovely fresh air.

for me it's exceptional to be there
and these people (like in the photo) are what it's heart is made of

thanks Kawter

Nice shot, Marie!

sounds like a book we all don't need Frank
:rolleyes::(

:lol:
I won't say you should write a book of just 'answers'
as we need the questions first

in order to give the answers
:lol:

but a book of 'questions only' sounds like you say ..for games and discussion
I imagine the answers are in small print in the back pages of the book
:confused:

that's if the questions are not about things with no logical answer to be got anywhere ,
ever
:shock:

(like 'it sucks'
remember that debate ):lol::lol:
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

don't answer that

:mrgreen:

thanks Frank
