I recently picked up a 22" beauty dish and trio of 600ex-RTs - but haven't had the chance to use them on a real shoot - but being impatient ...

This was shot with a 7D, 85mm f/1.8, 600ex-RT in the beauty dish up and to the left of the frame - fairly high. The background is my back yard, seen through some sliding glass doors, and underexposed a bit. I left the speedlite in ETTL mode.

Similar, but from a different angle - this time he's got the BD more in front of him, less directional

Yep - love the BD. Can't wait to get a slightly more co-operative model in front of it :)

It looks like it is producing the nice even light. It is great for softening wrinkles, hard lines, and deep pores. Not much use on a lil kiddo, but I know you were just wanting to play with the new toy. :)
