So this was a project that I was happy to work on. I mostly did the sound on this but also operated and supplied the Canon 7D. A good friend of mine shot most of this on a Sony EX-1, but there is DSLR video as well as some GoPro footage. My good friend Jonathan Ramsey field produced as well as edited this video. I used the 7D on my home built dolly for some shots as well as some handheld, lens whacking footage. It was a bit tough doing the 7D on the dolly while also doing sound for the sit down interview of John, the camp buddy that used to be a camper, but I did it. It was a very small crew, for a good reason. Read the description below video.

The camp itself is located in the mountains of Colorado, but it's right off a major highway and there was nothing that could be done about the sound of the highway during some of those interviews. Sometimes there is absolutely nothing you can do about some sounds while recording. All I could do was to make the producer aware of the situation and let them know about it. Oh well... Enjoy, it was a pleasure working on this project. I'm proud to have been a part of this.

Very well done. This short film does a wonderful job of conveying what and how the camp does to help all involved. I even felt the emotion.

just a few of my thoughts...

Thanks guys, it was great working on this project. The folks who commissioned this film were very, very pleased and will use it for several years to come when they use it to help raise funds for this program. It truly was a very interesting weekend being around those kids and counselors.
