IBlux is releasing a 40mm f/0.85 in July 2013. The lens is intended for all mirrorless mounts including EOS M. The expected price is between 950-1200€.

Nice innovation for mirrorless cameras. That's one huge 40mm lens, hopefully the quality will be good.

Interesting but doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a mirrorless?

How big is an f0.85 lens on a mirrorful camera for comparison?

Yea sure is big for mirrorless but I'm impressed it fits APS-C sized sensors, really looking forward to sample pics.

Nailed it.

I would be moderately interested if I was rocking a full mirrorless setup, but for the price some nice 1.2 L glass with AF would be put to better use. It also comes down to performance at 0.85... if you need to stop down to 1.4 what's the point for paying such a premium?

I didn't even noticed the NEX attached to the lens! That's a huge lens!

The labeling (aperture numbers etc) looks disgusting/cheesy... crazy lens though.

the type is large like that so you can actually see it in the dark when shooting wide open.
