Prarie Landscape - how do the leading lines work?

Working on something other than straight lines down the middle.

What caused me to pursue this shot was the horizontal road, drawing my eyes left to right, then (after a break, out of frame), it carries me back into the shot, right to left and in.

Does that effect carry over to a neutral viewer (you)?

Well nice take but few things I like differently:
- More adherence to rule of third.
- More vivid color.
- Less to show. There is too much to follow as of now. Again a crop from below just below the lower road could save great also take image near 1/3 aspect.
- Add a tad more USM.

Yes it does! Would it have been possible to take the shot from a bit further to the left and started the first line in the corner and made it a bit more diagonal??

Agreed if the road on the right was heading more out towards the right that would look better IMO

The road would lead my eye better if it were at a little more of an angle.

I'm bothered by the break in the frame. I'd rather see the road snake around.

I'd love to see some more color and definition in the clouds?
Maybe a gradient filter, or mild HDR?
