You can get two 6d's for the price of 5Dmk3

Where I live, you can get approximately 1,6 6D's for the price of a 5D3.

Originally bought a 6d, but after 2 weeks decided the 5D3 was for me. Image quality on the 6D was great, but I decided i couldn't live without the improved focus system.

Wow ay jayy, took you that long? Only took me 7 days to make the swap. lol.

Ordered a CamRanger (external link)and JerkStopper (external link)today and hope to receive it on Monday. It also works with my 550D, so I can get an idea of how it performs and whether it's a decent alternative for the built-in WiFi of the 6D. :)

Two weeks, eighteen pages... seems like solution looking for problem :)

And a good deal of the "input" is from several people who own neither. ???

Damn bad luck... From the 6th of March up to and including the 9th of March there will be a nice deal at the local hypermarket. If you buy something, they will immediately subtract the VAT from the price. The deal details didn't mention any DSLR bodies being excluded. So I gave them a call today. The price of the 5D3 body is 3.059 euro at the local hypermarket (the price of the 5D3 at the store where I originally wanted to buy it from if I went for the 5D3 is 2.859 euro). So the local hypermarket 5D3 VAT excluded price would have been about 2.528 euro. A very nice price indeed. Only problem is the guy on the phone told me that the 5D3 is excluded from the deal. :(

Don't know if the 6D is excluded from the deal. But the 6D is already so cheap right now (as low as 1.759 euro), so a deal isn't really needed... I think I'm just gonna head over to the local hypermarket on Wednesday to see it with my own eyes. Maybe they were just telling that to me on the phone so I wouldn't buy a 5D3 during the deal period.

Have owned 5D and 5DII before I upgraded to 6D. Well, I only miss 1/8000 second shutterspeed and the joystick. The center focus point kick ass. It is much faster than the older camera´s.

I went out two days ago and took pictures of people (external link). Of 99 pictures, 3 where out of focus. Two of them was my fault.

Compared to my 7D, that is a monster of speed, my 6D gives me a lot more keepers and the speed of the autofocus is not bad at all. In low light, the autofocus is outstanding.

6D is small and the grip is kind of same as the 7D.

Wifi+GPS is great, but the application Eos Remote is still not what I would like it to be. I will still need a Eye-fi card if I want to transfer the pictures to my smartphone automatically and full sized.

If anybody need the speed of 7D in a fullframe camera, then the 5DIII maybe is the right choise instead. I saved 148100 円 (1128 €) not buing 5DIII. If you can live with the fact that the other focus points not are cross type like the old 5D, then 6D is a nice choise.

I just have one question about the 6D. Why will it take more time to register M-Raw to the SD card than it will take with full size Raw?
