First of many shots I am sure... Just playing around and then did some new stuff I am trying to learn on ps...

What do you think?

Took it off ... the picture host is making it 200% looks like crap

Eyes look nice and sharp. I have not removed the 50mm 1.4 since I got mine.

Eye's are pinpoint sharp- nicely done. It may be my monitor, but I think it's a little soft. What made you upgrade to the f/1.4?

Did you sharpen the eyes only? The rest of her is a little too soft, but if that is the effect you wanted, it works okay. The eyes really are wonderful. She's adorable.

I think there's too much post processing, for my tastes, at least.
Smoothing/blurring should not be obvious.

I agree with the post processing but keep in mind I said I was still learning... LOL

here are a couple more The fist one is some of my fish obvoiusly. The second is a crop of my daughters face. This is one of the first shots and yes flash was used. I only did a little USM and a a little level adjustmet. I know this is not the shot we all look for but I think this may show I have a good copy of the lens. I will be taking some shots outdorrs today so we will see.
