Thanks! I had a lot of fun shooting at the zoo and wildlife park.

I lucked out on the lion... she was lying down as the tram rolled up to their area, just as my part of the tram rolled up, she sat up for a few seconds... the tram didn't really slow or stop so I had to shoot everything in ai servo... she laid back down a few seconds later...

The polar bear was a bit easier... she was pacing back and forth coming right up to the glass... only thing that was challenging was timing my shots... there were a lot of other people... many if them taking pics with cameras with flash on!

good shots - we are supposed to be in the area in May - what lens did you use - was the baby panda outside? in an area without bars?

I used my 70-200mm 2.8 is on my 5d3. Still getting used to FF. Not as much reach as I'm use to with my 7d. But it was enough for most of San Diego Zoo... the wildlife park would have been better with a 100-400....

The baby panda and mom are in an enclosure next to the main panda enclosure, and they are out for a limited amount of time. When we were there it was something like 9-11am. Its a pretty open enclosure, just a railing with a moat in front, then an open enclosure for the mom and baby panda.
