I risked it and parked there.
Checked a week later and it had been "corrected"

OK, Here's another from me.

Have you ever been to the ever popular "3rd" of July celebration?

Though, technically since the ingredients lists peanuts, the person with a tree nut allergy could eat it. I've seen other foods that have warning that it's packaged using epuipment used to handle nuts (they usually actually do have nuts in the ingredients). Are they just lumping the seperate allergies to cover themselves?

Usually it's done because the same company makes cashew and almond butter in the same processing line, which could cross contaminate the peanut butter. So a tree nut allergic person would need the warning, as even a fractional amount of residue could be deadly.

Of course, the manufacturer could have been utterly clueless about this, in which case it is an utterly hilarious blooper ;)

I was driving past a cottage on the Holy Island at the weekend, and unfortunately never got the chance to stop and take a photo, but attached to a small bird box on the side of a cottage was a sign that said "Bra Cottage - tits only"

This shot was taken in 2002.
The humor is only amplified by the fact that the sign is the same on the tailgate and the driver's door too (not shown).

No. Not smoke.
Just a smudge on the window.
I was trying to be very discreet in taking this picture. LOL.

I have a sign I missed - they built a new plaza in my home town, and one the stores had had a huge banner that read: "Dick's: Coming Soon!"

How about: "Nenana Ridge (across from Skinny Dicks Bar on Parks Highway past mile post 338. Road is in good shape. WATCH FOR LOGGING TRUCKS."

The name "Skinny Dicks" made the place famous. Tourists driving their RV's to fairbanks, Alaska stop-by to take pictures of the restaurant. It's not a big deal, but as one drives on the road and comes upon the big sign on the restaurant's front wall, one has to wonder, specially if one's teenagers are riding in the back seat. :) The kids always laugh when they see the sign.

There is this bar/restaurant just up the road from me called "The Glenville Spot" however the sign had the "G" very large and the rest of the town name smaller, so the sign would be read "The G Spot". Unfortunately by the time I thought of going to take a picture (months later) i guess they got many complaints and changed it. :(

Wow, this thread made me go through some of my old photos to find this one. Can you believe it? Shellfish harvesting prohibited!

The District has some other odd signs they put up recently that I have not yet photographed, but try to imagine a sign with a silhouette of a Rhino that reads "Deer Crossing".
