Years ago my wife and I used to go to a place called Emanon. Which, spelled backwards is no name. Had great burgers.

The first is a reference to the show Archer; the second is about Blue Bell ice cream, which may not have ever been available where you are, but is a brand in the southwest that had to stop production completely (for months now) to attempt to clean up listeria contamination. A lot of people down here in Texas consider Blue Bell the best, but I still think Ben & Jerry's is better.

Just wondering if you also visited Poland, because the the sign looks more like Polish than German to me.

That helps knowing the history about Blue Bell..... but Archer? (Sir I have Fetched the Rug RIP Woodhouse) RIP = Rest In Peace but who is Woodhouse?

Archer is a cartoon about a semi-incompetent spy agency - sort of like South Park meets James Bond (set at an indeterminate and unrealistic time when it's still USA vs USSR, with greenscreen mainframes but also internet porn and cell phones). Woodhouse is his (very old and mistreated) butler, who fought back in WW1 and whenever someone died and the body had to be disappeared, would say "I shall fetch the rug" (to roll the body in so it could be carried outside for disposal). I only watch it on Netflix, so I haven't seen the current episodes, but apparently he's actually killed off. So the sign is a tribute to what Woodhouse said when people died, now that he's gone.
