Have them lay on their backs with heads together, bodies rotated 120 degrees from each other and shoot them from overhead.

I have had my granddaughters use a stepladder and posed them (7) around and on the ladder.


Canon 60D,18-55mm,55-250mm,50mm compact macro, AF ext tubes. Sigma 8-16mm uwa, 18-250mm, 85mm F1.4, 150-500mm

I have had the older 2 arm wrestle with the younger behind the hands.... always nice. Works better with boys of course

I think you have a take group unfold naturally photos. For example, you could pose the group on a staircase so they are all sitting on different steps. This will easily break up any patterns of head levels so the group looks like one and no pattern distracts the viewer. You could do the same thing by placing the group on fallen down logs or on boulders or any other uneven surface.
