Not perfect but i like it

I went into the garden today to see whats happening , well it is starting to grow so i snapped a couple of shots , this is my favourite of the few minutes i was outside .

I have had a little tinker with it in PS elements but really only adjusted the brightness and contrast .

I was using one of my old FD lens with adapter .

Does anyone have anything to say about this one , i do like to get feedback as to where i could improve .

There were two things that stand out to me.

The first is that the subject of the image, that part which is in focus, takes up so liitle of the image.

Secondly, I find that the blurred pine cone in the foreground is somehow stopping/blocking me from "seeing" the main subject of the image or causing it to be lost within the image as a whole.

Thankyou , i too would have liked to have the frame filled a bit better .
These cones are still very little only about 3cm tall .
