Favorite camera strap?

What's your favorite camera strap? I'm looking to upgrade the oem strap. A sling strap looks handy.

One of my bigger questions is, would I want to hand a DSLR from a strap that incorporates a plastic snap-connector? My gut says no way.

Those plastic snap connectors are very strong. I'm sure someone will say theirs would come apart, but it was either defective or they didn't have it together. If you are worried just use a velcro strip wrapped in there.

But to answer the question, yeah a sling strap is super comfortable. I love mine and it feels fine even with something like a gripped camera and a 70-200 2.8. If you have the CPS strap, you can just get the sling adapter and it snaps right up.

I use herringbone hand strap and blackrapid rs-7 depend on the occasion.
Highly recommended on them both.

CPS strap, but I rarely use the padded portion. Just clip the ends together and go.

Straps often do more harm than good, unless your photographing from an extreme location.

The idea of a holster style, keeping the camera from swinging, is appealing.

Any B-grip users out there?

I've tried other straps, but I've always come back the original. I never have a strap around my neck, rather I wrap the strap around my forearm/wrist which keeps it out of the way and keeps my camera safe in the rare event I would lose hold of it. I did go with a handstrap on my 50D for a while which was really nice, however I again returned to the original strap for the arm wrap thing.

i just use the canon stock strap that came with my 7d,folds nice into my bag,its light and strong,all the other after market straps are just a way to try and improve on a basic camera strap! and thats's a hard thing to do, i think its sort of funny, people try to where there cameras on there hip like a gun slinger , quick draw with a camera! oh well to each is own.....

I feel much better without.

Yes, but the aftermarket straps improve significantly on the garbage Canon sells cameras with.

Once you've had a 1D Mark III with a heavy lens on it around your neck for 14+ hours a day for a week or two, you'll understand The stock straps are absolute trash.
