I decided to go out for a macro shoot the day before yesterday and didnt expect to see much life out there, its VERY early in the macro season here in Central Florida, I was pleasantly surprised to find this little crab spider anxiously awaiting its meal, when all of a sudden this jumping spider came swooping down upon him,, its fascinating to witness these types of events live !!! and That why I LOVE macro,, you never know what you'll find out there, these were shot using my Canon 5D MKII, Sigma 105mm macro lens, hand held and ambient light only, I didnt bring my flash for this shoot ;) notice the HIGH ISO, it was a cloudy/overcast day and these were shot under a canopy of trees

Thank you everyone, again, its very early in the season here and I dont normally see crab spiders this early, its also an added bonus to see one of my favorite predators in the Spider species get taken by surprise, to witness that event was fascinating ;)

Great shot.

Thanks again everyone ;)
mtsheron,, was that you who asked questions about macro lens' and bullet rifling ? 60mm lens?
these images were shot using a longer focal length, these were shot using a Sigma 105mm macro lens, I prefer the longer focal length as apposed to the 60mm length,, something fo ryou to consider when choosing a macro lens ;)
