We're back again with another batch of birds on branches... (taken with the SX50).

I love them. Did you use a tripod? You are making me wish I had bought an SX50 rather than my S95. I wanted the tiny size, but wow, the zoom on the SX50 would be great to have.

ozziepuppy - We always shoot hand-held, and love the freedom this gives us to quickly frame those often fleeting songbird poses. The light-weight and excellent IS of these small cameras also helps a lot to overcome their relative lack of speed in focusing and shot to shot. Every camera/system has strengths and weaknesses of course, but not having to use a tripod at 1200mm is a big plus for us.
