What tax refund? (The tax return is the form you send to the government)

We try to end up owing a little bit so that we get the benefit of the money we make.

I'm buying a 5d mark 2 and a 50mm 1.4.

Excellent choice.

Not to change the subject, but if you can affort to buy that stuff with your tax refund then you have your withholding all screwed up. Why let the government sit on your money for a year when you could be earning interest on it?

Because it's ok to help your country out then get a huge refund. Interest would be very minimal.

I'm going to Vegas, and if I don't lose my shirt, will either be upgrading to a 70-200 II, a 28 2.8IS or a Sigma 35mm. Maybe even buy one of them while I'm out there. I've never won more than $100 on anything, so I'm hoping the 10th or 11th time is the charm. LOL

Hey, we are in financial trouble in Nevada. Not wishing you and bad luck, but, it would would be nice if you left something. Seriously, locals generally don't gamble, as they did not build those casino resorts from winners. Bypass the tables and slots, and take a side-trip to Zion, Death Valley, or Grand Canyon.

Dear richie,

The money from my tax return is going in the bank where it will earn maybe $ 3.00 or 4.00 over the course of the year.

But once that is in the bank I'm going to get either a Canon 100-400L or a Sigma 150-500 OS, I haven't made up my mind yet. I'll probably buy it at Best Buy and take advantage of the 18 months interest free financing.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

Refund? What refund. Last year I owed a little north of 3k. This year a little south of $600. Last time I got a refund was about 20 years ago, when I used it like a savings account. I finally learned to hold on to it and not spend it.
