Hi All

I have been looking into getting a Powerex PowerBank. It's a very good external power supply which is rated very highly. However it runs on most of the other makes of Camera but not on any Cannon Cameras. Does anyone know anything about this product? Will there ever be one for Cannon Cameras?

Also does anyone know of any other external power supply for Cannon Cameras? I have looked around but I can't find one. What is going on? Are Cannon users battery fans or something? Someone must make something that would help us out.

Cheers

Alex

I thinking about buying an S45, and at least for that one (and the rest of the S series) there is an external adapter that fits into the battery slot. I thinkit connects to the charger, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, I don't know those battery packs, however, it's certainly possible to adapt the external power supply from canon to connect to some battery pack (as long as the voltage is the same).

SterlingTek has AC adapters for some Canon cameras including the S45. See:

Did you ever find a good external battery pack for your Canon? I'm looking for the same thing for my SX1 is and it is not so easy. I'm trying to find the operational voltage range for the external port. I'm not finding anything that is spot on 7.4v to match the ext AC supply, but maybe it is not necessary. I know your post is old but maybe your still working this issue or have solved it.

Thanks.
