Came a little too close,hence the tail clip "oops".

Nice detail on this great looking Eurasian Jay but as you'd mentioned, the fault of this image is the missing tail and a bit of toe. Also eye contact wise the bird is looking away from you. As this jay is not a rare species in Europe (presume you live in Europe) So try to get one that perches on a branch and with good light on the head...especially the eye.

This is one of the dangers of getting too close...a problem I rarely have. :-( Nice image though.
