I'm heading out to Las Vegas soon and I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions/ experience with getting a nite shot of the strip from an elevated perch such as a roof or parking structure?

Rick,
Ive done that but rather am looking for a high vantage point looking down the strip using a tripod. possibly from the mandalay bay or bellagio

You can take photos from some rooftop bars Mix at Mandalay Bay. I am not sure about Bellagio. Voodoo lounge is nice at the RIO has a nice view. I never tried to bring a tripod to either but a camera was no problem.
