SD Cards & Airport Security

The posts I found while searching the forum all seem to deal with CF cards and airport security. Is the same advice true for SD cards? That is, is it okay to put SD cards through the carry-on scanner with the rest of my gear, without suffering damage to the images? (Should only be going through security once each way, and if I start off with new cards, there won't be any images untilt he return trip.)

Thanks in advance for your info/experience.

My camera bag goes through the carry-on scanner with all my SD cards inside and I've never had an issue before

Just run them through the scanner. They will be fine.

Tell the agents how important your images are and that the cards cannot be subject to scanning ;)

... and if you do the above, good luck catching your flight! I've had SD, USB, CF, and HDDs all scanned and have yet to have any issue.

I use manual exposure settings on the copy machine
