I have a 5dIII that is gripped. I would like to find a really nice strap for it. I am looking for the type of hand strap where your hand slips between the strap and the side of the camera. I am wondering if anyone has one they really love that they could recommend?

Thanks!

I tried the Herringbone Hand Strap but I can't stand it. It looks pretty but I can't lock the strap in place for my fitting and prevent it from from getting loose over time. I double and triple the loop under the lock but no help.

I went back to the Canon version and loving it: http://www.amazon.com …ebel-Series/dp/B0000C4G79 (external link)

The Canon version is nice. A few years ago I wanted one for when I was out on a boat and didn't want to worry about a neck strap (I hate neck straps). It worked great on the boat, but it soon became extremely annoying and impractical in other situations. I was missing shots because I couldn't fit my hand into the strap, or I wasn't even putting my hand into it and shooting over the top. So I came to the conclusion that I only need a hand strap when there is a chance that I could be hit hard enough that I let go of my gear, and for most of my photography, I don't get hit hard.

The Markins leather grip is the best one I've used: http://www.markinsamerica.com/MA5/HS3K.php (external link)

I've been using mine for years and a number of friends have bought one after seeing mine. It was the only real leather one I could find, and has molded nicely to my hand. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable even with the 100-400L. Stays on my camera 99% of the time. Really a high quality product and well worth the money!
