20d cards larger than 2gb?

Can they be used? Thanks for any info

I use 4 gig micro drives in mine. Manual says you can use 2 gig or higher. Didn't see a limit.

I'd stick to 1/2GB cards, my 10D is extremely picky with 4GB cards(I don't know if 20D's are the same).

Also if you stick with smaller cards if you ever have a card go bad at least all of your images wont be gone, just the ones on that card.

I've used 16 gig cards in mine.

I use 8 gig cards in mine all the time.

I use 8 Gb in both my 20D and my 300D. I do not have anything bigger though, so can't help with maximum size other than that.

Yes. But with something like 32 GB, catch is to format it outside the camera.
Its 1D original that has max of 2GB.

8 gb s is fine BUT i would transfer the photos as soon as you can to a back up just incase the card does loose alot of your photos.

I've never felt the need to go above 4Gb in the 20D. It gives approx. 430 shots in RAW, and 999+ in JPEG Large Fine.

It's open to debate and personal preference, but for a really important shooting day, I prefer to spread my risk by using multiple smaller cards rather than shooting everything on one 16Gb.

And, yes, my 1Dc is limited to 2Gb; you can use larger capacity storage, but the camera only 'sees' 2Gb (and those cards are now VERY difficult to source; it's a rare bricks and mortar store that has anything below 4Gb)
